Welcome to DR EcoAdventures. We are a 700 Acre ecoFarm with 2km private beach. Our unique property is bounded to the North by the Ocean, to the South by Farm Land and Caribbean Forest, to the East by winding Rio San Juan River, to the West by the pristine Picadosa Lagoon.

We offer excursions in Horse Rides, Kayaking, Bicycling, Standup Paddle Boarding, Row Boating, Nature Walks, Crabbing & Fishing and Donkey Rides. Our activities such as Crabbing & Fishing and Donkey rides are authenticially Dominican. We also offer a “Day at the Beach” and “Dominican Lunch” as part of our standard activities. On a custom basis, we offer Sunset Cocktails and Dinner as well as Special Events such as Weddings and Conferences.

Our farm has a rich 200 year history and currently has livestock and plantations. The flora & fauna specific to our ecoFarm has been studied by an internationally recognized team of environmental expects including Ornithologist, Agronomist and Ecologist and published in a booklet available online. Our focus is on safety, sustainability and service.

With regard to Safety, our Guides carry first aid kits with epiPens and can radio for either CPR assistance or Boat Rescue. Helmets are mandatory for activities like horse rides and bicycling. Life Vests are mandatory for activities like Kayaking and Standup Paddle Boarding. We cater to families with children and we have life vests for infants and small children separate from adult life vests. We check all our equipment every day. We need each of you to fill out a Check-In form so that we can understand any health conditions and allergies in advance.

With regard to Sustainability, we are completely off the grid with solar power, well water and septic disposal. We have no motors activities as part of our excursions i.e. all activities powered by humans, horses, etc. Our Chef is well renowed for “natural cooking” i.e. organic cooking with natural herbs. We look to serve healthy lunches and food and we do not deep fry in oil, etc. We have been growing Teak trees which essentially take 25 years to mature for the past decade and you can see the various stages of their growth. We have many fruit trees on the property are also growing vegetables and spices in our ecoFarm.

With regard to Service, each excursion is led by a trained DR EcoAdventures Guide. Our customer consistently tell us in their feedback that our staff is friendly and knowledgeable. All our Guides have been trained and certified in our unique service program. Our staff is 100% Dominican and knows the ecoFarm well since they are from the area. We offer a number of complimentary products for our guests. We support local schools in the region with an emphasis on education. We strive to keep our facilities completely functional and clean. Our Beach Pavilion has full bathroom and hot water shower facilities for your use. We also have outdoor showers and faucets to wash sand and dirt off before your enter the Beach Pavilion. Our Bar has Presidente Beer, Pina Colada, Rum Punch as well as Water, Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, and snacks available for sale. Our Gift shop has Ponchos, Long sleeves shirts, and Hats for sale.

We offer complimentary insect repellent, sun block, hats with face nets and boots for our guests. We also have complimentary ponchos to use in case of rain. We have free broadband WiFi coverage at our Beach Pavilion.
